Accessibility statement

We sell accessibility services, so this site should meet the standard we describe to clients. Here is exactly where it stands.

Conformance status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which is also the basis of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

We believe the site currently meets that standard, based on our own testing. It has not been audited by an independent third party, so we describe this as our own assessment rather than a certified one.

How we test

Every change to this site is checked before it is published:

  • Automated testing with axe-core against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rules, on every page, at desktop and phone widths. A failure blocks the change from being published.
  • Automated keyboard tests covering the skip link, the navigation menus and the mobile menu.
  • Manual checks with a keyboard and a screen reader.
  • Color contrast calculated from the source colors rather than judged by eye.

Automated testing catches perhaps a third of accessibility problems. The rest needs people, so the reports we receive from visitors genuinely matter.

Known limitations

  • The site has not yet been tested with every combination of browser and assistive technology, or with voice control software.
  • No independent audit or published Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) exists yet.
  • The capability statement PDF is generated as a tagged PDF from the web page. If you have any difficulty with it, the same content is on thecapability statement page, which we consider the authoritative version.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us. Describe the page and what went wrong, and include the browser or assistive technology you were using if you know it.

We aim to acknowledge reports within five business days and to tell you what we intend to do about the problem, including when we expect to fix it. If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will provide it.
